How to make the most of summertime during quarantine? Self-storage in Stoke on Trent and more tips
All
year round we wait for summer to come because it marks freedom from the mundane
day to day activities. But this year summertime is shaping up to a whole other
affair. Fret not, there is much to look forward to even during the quarantine
and that includes finding great deals on Self storage in Stoke onTrent.
While
we may not be able to throw pool parties and sun-bathe on exotic islands, there
is a lot that you can do from the comfort of your home. And for most of us,
this summer is about getting it together and accepting the new reality. Here is
what we planning to do this summer and you should too.
Turn your adventure list into the project list.
We all
have an X that marks the day summer vacation started. Most of us have hotel and
plane flights for the next adventure booked but all of that will have to wait
for now as the world battles a deadly virus. Does that mean summers aren’t fun
anymore? It doesn’t have to be like that. You can turn your adventure into
projects that will make your summers enjoyable and memorable. Whether it is
learning how to play the guitar or re-watching Friends and going on virtual
dates; plan your summer as you would except travel and
socialization.
If you
are someone who likes to read, make this summer into your great reading
adventure where you finally read and sort all the books you have been putting
off. Or if you have been dreading all the snacking maybe this summer is you
grand excuse to work on that summer body with online workout classes. The whole
point of summer is not just spending money on expensive flight s and hotels. It
giving yourself some much needed time off and that you can give yourself at
home too if you plan it right. Chances are the only thing you will then miss is
the sun and well, what is a better time to splurge on spray tan that right now?
Internships and remote work
This
might sound like the opposite of fun and that might be true if you are someone
who has already been working and the work didn’t stop with the lockdown it just
followed you home. But for students and people that lost their jobs, summer at
home, is a great opportunity and not one to take lightly. The world is opening
up to new ideas and challenges which means that growing your skillset and
learning how to work competently from home is becoming more important than it
ever was. Go find great internships to apply to and find remote jobs such as
freelance graphic designing or coaching and figure out how you can make this
summer the most impactful without dreading what could’ve been.
Moving back
While
the lockdown has international flights on hold well over till 2020, there are
lots of people that have their lease expiring or that are moving back home from
the dorms. The initial panic is over and although the lockdown remains
indefinite, a lot of people are starting to get their life back on track as
much as is possible from the social confines.
If you
are moving back into your apartment or are moving into a new one we recommend
that you make the most of your space and enjoy the simple pleasures of having a
roof over your head. The free time can be used as a catalyst for making serious
changes in your life, such as starting the YouTube channel that you have always
wanted or writing that novel. The most important thing to keep in mind when you
start to get your normal life and environment back is analyzing how and where
your time is spent and is it being utilized?
As a
student moving out of the dorms we recommend putting all your belonging in
storage first because it would help you navigate your next step carefully. Are
you taking back home bulky textbooks that you rarely ever use? Or simply just
moving back from an affected area with all of those items? The best thing to do
is move unnecessary items into storage units as they
would remain safe there and free up your mental space for other more pressing
things that require your focus and attention.
